The summer wind…

“The summer wind came blowin’ in
From across the sea
It lingered there to touch your hair
And walk with me”

Happy Friday!

It was a warm summer day yesterday in New York City but there was a small breeze that would occasionally show itself. I had some fun playing with this breeze as it made my dress sway as it passed and no, at 26 years old I’m not ashamed of admitting it :). I thought the above quote fit the scenario quite perfectly. Summer and its small gifts, like this summer wind or trees in bloom, or even it’s warm sunshine all allow me to appreciate nature all the more.

Although nature seemed to be on my side, my body did not agree. I broke my healthy eating habits yesterday by having a large serving of white bread. I think sometimes the more you tell yourself you can’t have something the more you crave it, and so I finally gave in. I think in the future if I crave white bread I’ll have a small piece rather than wait for myself to explode and then have a ridiculous portion of it. I’m proud to say however, that I have not had my true addiction (chocolate) in the past 7 days :). I guess you live and learn what works best for you.

About My Outfit

I don’t wear white dresses, they usually remind me of wedding dresses but in this case the beautiful floral pattern was hard to resist. I like how the dress flows and the fact that it’s shorter on the front than on the back makes it easy to walk in and incredibly comfortable. I paired it with flat gold snakeskin sandals and a small cross body handbag. Enjoy!

Have a wonderful weekend!
