2014 A Furry New Year

Hi TTC Readers!

Happy belated 2014 :) I’ve been working on a few projects, on my career and I’ve met someone who I’m happily getting to know :) which left me with less time to post. I’m back and ready to kick off the first post of The Trend Crush on 2014!

As you can see from these shots New York was recently bombarded with snow. I chose to wear my grandmother’s gift, this beautiful fur coat, which really kept me warm and allowed me to wear my pink pumps ;). I accessorized and kept warm by adding a print scarf and my Calvin Klein handbag.

I want to thank everyone who reached out to me waiting patiently for my next post!

Enjoy and have a great day!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend! This weekend I attended my cousin’s sweet sixteen, she looked absolutely beautiful with a Cinderella-like blue dress that reminded me of floating on a cloud, as she made her way across the reception to greet all her guests. It was a lovely dress. We danced a lot and had a great time. My healthy eating habits did not go completely out the window, I tried to have small portions and ate chicken, vegetables and a bit of fetuccine alfredo that I could not refuse. All in all I don’t have any regrets about my meal :).

About My Outfit

I was inspired by FashionToast, one of my favorite blogs, she loves to wear lace or embroidered shorts and inspired me to do the same. I paired my beige shorts with a red lace tee and black strappy shoes.

I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Happy Hump Day!

Leather skirts and shorts have been in style for some time now and I thought it would be fun to spend sometime talking about what fun outfit ideas can come from leather skirts. For starters leather skirts were born in the 80s and were also worn in the 90s. They slowly faded away in the early 2000’s and are now back in style. The black leather skirt is more of a neutral piece, which means you can pretty much mix it with almost any color or fabric. In this outfit I chose bold pieces like a gold sequin top and red wedges. Other combinations can include polka dot or stripe tops as well as white or skin toned tops. For a more casual look you can even chose your favorite T-shirt and a nice pair of sandals. If you’re in NYC I would recommend wearing the leather skirt at some point this week since the weather will be in the 70s and once it hits 90 it won’t be as comfortable ;).

Enjoy and have a wonderful day!

It’s finally here, happy Friday! I put together this outfit as I thought about the weekend. It’s a great dress for going out on a date or going out with the girls. This dress can also be a day dress if worn with flats. I paired the dress with these beautiful printed heels for a night look.

Enjoy your Friday and come back soon!

Flower Print Dress!

1 2 3

Hi everyone! It’s almost Friday, I hope you are as excited as I am :).

On another note, the weather is finally starting to warm up and I thought this little flower print dress from Forever 21 would be perfect for spring.  I paired it with this beige blazer from H&M because, I don’t know about you but, I tend to feel a bit cold when the stores, trains, buses and offices in NYC begin to turn on their AC just as the temperature rises to 70 degrees. In order to avoid feeling like a popsicle, this blazer is a great option. I also didn’t want this outfit to feel overly dressy, so I added cowboy boots to give it a more daytime feel.

Enjoy and have a great day!

Happy Friday Everyone! Button down shirts have popped up in every store I shop at, therefore I thought I might give them a chance. I like this none traditional Forever 21 top with the neon pink collar and I paired it with black dressy shorts.

Enjoy and have a wonderful Friday!

Colorful Pants!

Good morning! It’s a cloudy day here in the big apple I thought I might brighten up the day with these colorful pants from H&M. Yes, as you can probably tell from my last post, I recently went shopping there :). I love the fact that these pants are loose and extremely comfortable! The black shoes and the beige blazer are neutral colors that allow the focus to be on the pants. If this is too colorful for you, you can replace the blue top with a white top.

Enjoy and have a great day!
