Hi TTC Readers!
Happy belated 2014 :) I’ve been working on a few projects, on my career and I’ve met someone who I’m happily getting to know :) which left me with less time to post. I’m back and ready to kick off the first post of The Trend Crush on 2014!
As you can see from these shots New York was recently bombarded with snow. I chose to wear my grandmother’s gift, this beautiful fur coat, which really kept me warm and allowed me to wear my pink pumps ;). I accessorized and kept warm by adding a print scarf and my Calvin Klein handbag.
I want to thank everyone who reached out to me waiting patiently for my next post!
Enjoy and have a great day!

Hi TTC Fans,
I’m sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted! I’ve been a tour guide for my cousin Claudia who’s visiting from Colombia and I’ve had little time to dedicate to TTC. I was also doing my best not to catch a cold that’s been going around in my family by taking lots of vitamin C, but after a walk in the rain my body gave in to the virus.
I had not experienced a cold in such a long time, it reminded me how attached we are to our bodies and how mortal we really are. I felt weak as I walked through the streets of Manhattan last Friday and extremely cold, not only because the weather was cold but also because I believe I had a fever. My muscles ached and I felt as though my coat weighed a ton but could not warm me up.
I tried to make my way home as fast as possible, but to me it wasn’t fast enough. My goal then turned into, just make it to the seven train and sleep through the ride until I can get home. Once I made it home I took some Nyquil and the next thing I knew it was 11pm and what seemed like a herd of people had arrived at my house, but I could not move. I gave into the heavy blanket that seemed to cover my being and faded out of existence again.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to work with Luba and Adrian Chafloque. Adrian is my go to photographer after we worked together on a fun headshot project. Luba is an old friend from college who I met through mutual friends and who has been very supportive of The Trend Crush since it’s launch back in May.
Luba is also very involved in the fashion world, she got her start in fashion in NY working at the Seaport A&F location. She loved the fast paced creative atmosphere. It was the industry that attracted many talented individuals and made a perfect fit. She made a smooth transition to the corporate side after spending two years in retail.
Recently, she has gotten a chance to rekindle her old passion for modeling after dropping out of modeling school in 2nd grade. She has worked on a small project “Italian Fashion in NY” with Alfredo Benincasa and has participated in a test shoot with NY fashion photographer Maximilian Rivera.
Luba is always looking for new opportunities to expand her experience. Brands worked with: A&F, Banana Republic, American Apparel, Fendi, Alice + Olivia, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Derek Lam, Alexander Wang.
It was an absolute pleasure working with Luba and Adrian! We had a lot of fun catching up and playing with different poses and looks as well as occasionally throwing leaves at each other :). I look forward to many more collaborations with them!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Today I woke up craving some of these beautiful pieces! Let me know what you think about them.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
I recently discovered Show Your Label, a phenomenal online fashion house which features products from independent designers that have been featured in a little publication known as Vogue. Not only are these amazing designer’s products featured on Show Your Label, but they are also available for you to purchase right on the site. We also received some insider information from Show Your Label, in which they mentioned that they are looking to expand the number of designers currently on the site in the coming weeks!
Show Your Label is soon becoming my go-to site for the latest fashion news as well.
In addition to the latest fashion news, they also have a selection of shop-able lookbooks featuring their designers’s latest collections!
All in all I highly encourage you to check them out here and use them as a fashionista’s resource for your next outfit :).
Enjoy and have a wonderful day!
Happy Monday TTC Readers!
This Monday I am flaunting my elegant Patrice dress from the Tart Collections’s fall line! For those of you who are not familiar with Tart Collections, they are a chic California clothing brand that launched in 2004. They have an awesome Hollywood following including Alessandra Ambrosio, Heidi Klum, Kourtney Kardashian, Katy Perry, Nicky Hilton and now me :).
All items from Tart Collection are available online. I ordered a size XS, which is fitted on my body and goes along with my style. If you prefer dresses that are less fitted on you, you might want to try a size up. What’s great about this style is that it flaunts the curves on your body. The dress has a silver zipper, which is great because over time the fabric won’t stretch as much as it would if it didn’t have a zipper. The fabric is 95% modal, which is smooth and soft, more so than mercerized cotton and it is also 5% spandex. This dress has a built-in shelf-bra which provides support, but because it is not padded and does not have wires it is extremely comfortable.
I actually wore this dress to club 230 Fifth in Manhattan and on my way to there I received a few catcalls lol, which I think is a good sign ;). It was perfect because since the weather is getting colder the long sleeves where perfect and while at the club I danced for about two hours and the dress was perfect because when I warmed up I just rolled the sleeves up a bit and I was back to normal. All in all it is a beautiful, elegant dress that is also comfortable and can be worn from day to night.
